RE: Battery Cable Confusion

BLACK is the positive, WHITE is Negative, like household wiring. Your positive cable should have a inline fuse in it, that would be another way to tell. FYI- I was confused at first also, so I wrote Black next to positive teminal on battery so I would remember.

RE: Calling all firefighters.............

I've been saving this since this thread started and am proud to share this Christmas Poem with everyone here. MERRY CHRISTMAS and Stay Safe! The photo underneath is of Lee FD Central Station Lee MA T'was the week before Christmas at the old Firehouse Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. The reason is simple, the building is clear, There's nobody there cause it's strictly volunteer. But seconds from now it could change with a clatter, The place will fill up to see what is the matter. The beepers will sound that there's a problem somewhere and all these guys show up because they care. They leave their jobs, their familys, their fun and their sleep. And complaints from any one of them - you won't hear a peep. Whether it's Easter, July 4th, or Happy New Years's day. They're on call the whole year without one nickel's pay. There plumbers and painters and carpenters and so They're mechanics and mill rights and those you don't know. The classes, the practices, the drills you don't see Add up to hours that they all give free 24 hours every day all year long And in return what do they get - not even a Christmas song. So remember, my friend, as we approach the New Year - Your neighbor's not a real fireman - only a volunteer. ~ anonymous http://www.fordf150.net/photos/data/500/E_Wide_firehouse.jpg http://www.fordf150.net/photos/data/500/B_W_Metallic_fire_house.jpg

RE: First Post!

We have the heated mattresses, there great, I always end up turning them down in the middle of the night. You will need electrical hook ups to use the heat feature of the mattresses. I would get 1 or 2 of the small electric ceramic heaters. cheaper than a furnace install. Enjoy your PuP, we love our Rockwood.

RE: Dealers will tell you anything.

If you notice he has a small disclaimer about towing with the Jeep and that trailer.("perfectly adaquete for short distances on flat lands with no wind") Does not look like a safe combo at all. Excuse me while I hook up my fith wheeler to the subaru.

RE: New from the Forest River site

Luckily for me, RVDirect is the closest FR dealer, By any chance is that dealer Albany RV? Thats were we got our pup from. There service department is great. They took care of me. Highly recommend them. Yes, it is. Picked up my freedom 1980 at a march show last year at some college sports complex. Alotta Pup for the money, and they threw in the hitch/install and brake controller also to "seal" the deal. We spent 19 nights in it the first season. no regrets. How do you like yours?

non-electric coffee maker for PUP

Does anyone know where to find either a metal old fashion drip coffeemaker(pour boiling water into top compartment, then it drips thru the grinds into compartment below) or a Stainless french press that makes more than 3 cups at a time? A 3 cup coffeemaker would last 30 seconds a round with DW and me. Thanks, never too early to shop for next season, think Spring! chris

RE: New from the Forest River site

Sounds like that is a vailed response to the growing popularity of RVWholesalers and RVDirect........... Luckily for me, RVDirect is the closest FR dealer, and at only a hour away, I have the double benefit of the big savings and no problem with warranty work. The one issue I had was fixed while I waited and only took a week to get the appt. While there, they gave my rockwood PuP the once over and found something else I hadn't even noticed. They fixed that too and sent me on the way. No complaints at all with dealer nor service. I gotta say it was easier to get that in the shop and fixed correctly than getting the wifes Subaru's problem taken care of after 3 tries from the dealer. Just my 2 cents...

RE: Snow on the roof, leave it on? sweep it off?

According to my owners manual, you shouldn't tarp or cover a PuP, something to do with moisture and mold. I would just brush it off carefully as mentioned before. Merc

RE: Calling all firefighters.............

Have been a ff/paramedic (aka dam* bandaid) with an all career dept. in VA now for 9 years. Also on regional haz-mat team. To top it off I found out yesterday, 11-22, i was promoted to Lt. Never heard you guys called band-aids, only rig nurses, congrats on the promotion, guess that makes you a rig doctor :B Chris LEE FD ~ Answering the call for 151 years! LEE MA-Central Station

RE: Lease w/option to purchase a scam?

You would need more than a $1000 down to rent a $600 a month Apt. That should be a eye-opener right there. I would change agents, You have worked too long and hard to have what you have, Don't chance it because your anxious to sell. This does sound fishy, my 2 cents.
